Final Fantasy Wiki

Betty is a minor character in Final Fantasy VII Remake. She lives in the Sector 7 slums of Midgar with her father and is close friends with Marlene Wallace. She takes care of three cats.

Sometime in the recent past, Betty's father took her to the Train Graveyard.[2]

In "Home Sweet Home", Betty asked Cloud and Tifa to help find her missing cat friends. She described their appearances and usual whereabouts, assuring them the cats were friendly, commencing "Lost Friends". She was initially sad, believing the cats ran away, but was overjoyed they returned after being chased by a "scary man".[3]

Aerith rescues Betty.

During Shinra's attack on the Sector 7 pillar in "Fight for Survival", Aerith found the wayward Betty and reunited her with her father.[2] In "A Broken World", after the plate fell, Betty and her father refuged in Sector 6 playground with the other survivors. She hoped her friends were okay and her father reassured her.[4]

In "In Search of Hope", Betty traveled to Wall Market and thought of a way to cheer up the residents of the slums. Upon encountering Cloud's party, Betty asked a relieved Tifa if Marlene was okay to which she affirmed. She then asked the party to find music discs for the jukebox, believing new music would make people happy. The party agreed to help and Barret kindly asked her to crank the volume up, commencing "The Power of Music". When they returned, Betty thanked them for their help and was pleased to see everyone smiling again.[5]

Betty is a 10-year-old girl with fair skin, medium-length brown hair styled in a bob and held in a bun, and hazel brown eyes. She wears a white jacket over a teal buttoned shirt, a light teal dress, black tights with a leg rolled up, fluffy pink socks, and light teal strapped sneakers. She wears a bright pink scrunchie in her hair.

Betty is cheerful, friendly, and caring. She is close friends with Marlene and fond of cats.[3][2] She shows concern for missing cats she adores, Marlene's safety, and the happiness of the slums' residents after the Sector 7 plate collapse.[4]

Betty is a quest giver in the Sector 7 slums during Chapter 3, "Home Sweet Slum" and again in Wall Market during Chapter 14, "In Search of Hope".

In "In Search of Hope", Betty gives the odd job "The Power of Music", asking Cloud, Tifa, and Barret to bring her music discs for the jukebox, wanting to cheer up the sad residents of the slums. The discs are found from around Wall Market.
