Beholder is an enemy type from Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. Beholders are stronger version of Gathers. They reflect magic and are weak to bombs.
Etymology
The beholder is a fictional monster in the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game. It resembles a floating orb of flesh with a large mouth, single central eye, and lots of smaller eyestalks on top with deadly magical powers.
In the German release, the creature was called "Optik Trick", which is the German spelling of "optic trick"
