Beholder is an enemy in Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. It is a stronger version of Gather and can repel magic and is weak to bombs. As it takes damage its eye becomes enlarged.

Etymology[]
The beholder is a fictional monster in the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game. It resembles a floating orb of flesh with a large mouth, single central eye, and lots of smaller eyestalks on top with deadly magical powers.
In the German release, the creature was called "Optik Trick", which is the German spelling of "optic trick".
