One of Hess's Eight Sages that appeared alongside Sol. Its real name is Behemoth K. Its lumbering size is deceiving as it is very nimble and ferocious, and uses its over-sized muscles to unleash powerful blows that can even put Veritas of the Dark down to his knees. The time it spent sealed by the Crystals has rendered it into a simple monster that follows Sol's orders. Though it is unclear, the "K" in its true name is said to be an abbreviation of words of power, such as "King" and "Kaiser."

Strategy[]
The Behemoth can be a difficult opponent if not prepared, as he has significantly higher HP (650,000) and stats than the Bosses fought before him. The Behemoth mostly retorts to physical attacks, although it can use a few spells too and buff himself on occasions. The Behemoth can use Howl to dispel buffs/debuffs from everyone present (both himself and the player's party), he will usually follow this with a buff Assault Cry or Magic Cry. The former yields him an ATK increase and SPR decrease, the latter increases MAG and decreases DEF. Heave deals Light physical damage to one unit, Toss Up deals Hybrid Damage, for Spells he can use Flare and Meteor.
The attacks to truly watch out, however are Rampage and Disaster. The former is used past his 60% HP threshold, which will make him use a dangerous Physical attack on all units that can easily kill a party without protective buffs and/or ATK debuff on Behemoth. He will use this for 3 turns consecutively, but will tire out, leaving him very weak to attacks. Disaster deals damage to all units equal to 99% of their current HP, leaving them with minimal life.
The player should exploit Damage Reduction, Buffs and Breaks to render the threat of its attacks to a minimum. Pod 153 (if acquired or through companion) is an excellent help as it can reduce physical damage by 40% with one of its abilities. A Tank and 1-2 healers may be required to keep the damage on check. The player should bring the strongest damage dealers possible as this battle will be a race of inflicting as much damage as fast as possible before the Behemoth can endanger the player.
Etymology[]
Behemoth is a beast mentioned in Job 40:15–24. In addition to mythological creatures, it is likened to dinosaurs, especially sauropods, as well as elephants, hippos, rhinos, and bison. Metaphorically, the term behemoth denotes "an extremely large or powerful entity".
