Beach Festival Fun! was an event in Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. A seasonal event celebrating summer, it was the first side-story to be issued after launch. It takes place in Costa del Sol across multiple time periods.
Synopsis[]
Zack is looking to relax on the beach while Cissnei is assigned to security detail as well as to investigate an anomaly in the area. As Zack tries to coax Cissnei into joining him (which she flatly refuses), panic overwhelms the shoreline as a tonberry-possessed watermelon arrives on-scene. Zack then battles the bizarre fiend and defeats it. However, while the two are debating next moves, the beast regains consciousness and escapes using what appears to be an experimental Portal materia. Zack and Cissnei give chase, but are moments too late.
Years into the future, Cloud and his party are in Costa del Sol enjoying some downtime when the fruity interloper appears before them. Cloud takes it down, but Aerith pleads with him to hold off while she figures out what it is trying to do, but it once again scurries off. There is a watermelon festival to be held, but it will not go well if the monster remains on the lam, so the organizer puts Cloud on security detail. That night, the monster returns, this time conjuring a humongous melon. Aerith once more tries to speak with the tonberry and discerns that it just wants to mash melons. Feeling that it is at last understood, the melon-berry runs off to find players for its game. Having found none, the creature rushes back and Aerith decides to write a letter for it to show anyone it comes across.

Home Wallpaper: Beach Festival Fun!
By participating in the Beach Festival Fun event, players would earn Mega Watermelons and Life Preservers which could be exchanged for Zack's Beach Parasol weapon and Tropical Beach gear, as well as an event-exclusive wallpaper. At the midpoint, the exchange was expanded and new missions posted for Yellow Mega Watermelons.

There were also two accompanying Stamp Card draws. The first was to draw for Tifa's Lifeguard gear and Lifeguard Wraps weapon, and Red XIII's Seaside Aloha gear and Seaside Collar weapon. The second was to draw for Cloud's Maritime Sailor gear and Maritime Sword weapon, and Aerith's Sunny Robe gear and Sun Umbrella weapon.
