"Battle to the Death" first plays during the battle with Ultima Weapon at the Floating Continent, and from then on, it is used as a battle theme for more powerful bosses, such as the Warring Triad, and the Advance superboss additions, Kaiser Dragon and Omega Weapon.
"Battle to the Death" is the third track of the third disc of the Original Sound Version and the Kefka's Domain album. Its arrangement by TOSE for Final Fantasy VI Advance was released as the third track of the Final Fantasy Finest Box collection's sixth disc.
A rearranged version plays during the battle against Sephirot, the Fiend in the Containment Bay S1T7, Sophia, the Goddess in the Containment Bay P1T6, and Zurvan, the Demon in the Containment Bay Z1T9. It was arranged by Masayoshi Soken, and includes portions of the Final Fantasy VI main battle theme.
The original version from Final Fantasy VI and the arranged version from Dissidia Final Fantasy are included on the music player. The Memories of FFVI album it is the fourth track of is bought for 100 gil from JM Market in Taelpar Rest Area. The Memories of DISSIDIA FF album is sold in Old Lestallum for 500 gil.
