Battle on the Big Bridge is a trial in Final Fantasy XIV. Part of the Hildibrand questline, players face off against Gilgamesh.
Story
In his quest to acquire the strongest of weapons, the notorious duelist Gilgamesh has long eluded authorities─until now. Forced to take a stand at the impassable Griffin Crossing, he has challenged you to a “duel.” Triumph, and he shall yield his latest prize. But should you fail, your weapons will be forfeit.

Progression
First Phase
The party first meets Gilgamesh on the first column of the bridge at times he will turn players into frogs with Frog Song and have Enkidu attack them, he will also turn players tiny with Tiny Song, causing players to take more damage and deal less damage. Occasionally he will use Bitter End which is a conal AoE in front of him, and Pradamante targeting players at random. He will also use Rocket Punch which confuses players and causes them to attack party members. When he has low health Gilgamesh will use Grovel pretending to give up only to put a bomb in his place and then flee to the second column.
in between the two columns lies enemies that will attack the party.
Second Phase
At the Second Column the party sees an arena full of green chickens and Gilgamesh at full health. Here not much has changed, but around the arena are whirlwind slashes that players have to avoid. He can also target a party member and attack them with Giga Jump.
