Battle of Nysa

The Battle of Nysa (ニサ峡谷の戦い, Nisa Kyōkoku no Tatakai?, lit. Battle of Nysa Canyon) was a battle in Final Fantasy XVI that took place in Year of the Realm 873 between the Dhalmekia and the Iron Kingdom. It occurred in the Nysa Defile, an arid valley located nearby to Dhalmekia's capital city Ran'dellah.

The Dhalmekians tried to acquire the support of its ally, the Kingdom of Waloed, but their request was denied. The Bastards, a small team of Bearer assassins in service to the Holy Empire of Sanbreque, covertly infiltrated the battleground under orders to assassinate Jill Warrick, the Dominant of the Iron Kingdom's Eikon of Ice Shiva.
