Barthunder (バサンダ, Basanda?), also known as ALIT, NulBolt or NulShock, is a White Magic spell in the Final Fantasy series that protects against Lightning damage.

Description
NulShock (ALIT on the NES and NulBolt in Final Fantasy Origins) is a level 2 White Magic spell which reduces Lightning-elemental damage inflicted on all allies by half.
The spell can be bought at Pravoka and can be learned by the White Mage, White Wizard, Red Mage, Red Wizard, and Knight classes. In the releases with an MP system, it costs 8 MP to cast.
Final Fantasy X[]
NulShock is a White Magic spell that is found on Yuna's section of the Sphere Grid. It costs 2 MP and bestows the Nulshock status on the party.
Final Fantasy XI[]
Barthunder is an Enhancing Magic spell that can be learned from a scroll by Red Mages (level 25) and Rune Fencers (level 24). When cast, the spell will increase the player's resistance to the Thunder-based elemental damage caused by spells, attacks, and status effects. It may be recast every 10 seconds for 6 MP. Players utilizing the White Mage job class have access to a stronger version, Barthundra.

Description
Barthunder is a Synergist spell that increases resistance to lightning-elemental damage with a base duration of 90 seconds. It has an ATB cost of 2. It can be used by Sazh (stage 8), Vanille (stage 7), and Hope (stage 5).

Description
Barthunder is the level 5 ability of the Seer class, requiring 100 AP to learn. At the cost of 24 MP, the user will make the damage of the next Lightning-elemental attack on the party reduced by half.
