Bard (Record Keeper ability type)

Bard (吟遊詩人, Gin'yūshijin?) is an ability type in Final Fantasy Record Keeper, and part of the Other category.

Mechanics

The Bard school centers on buffing the party. Several Rank 5 Bard skills grant the party a stat boost that is small at first, but increases with repeated uses. Some Collector's Events that focus on the game's sound track prominently feature Bard skills, either as dungeon rewards or requiring their usage to defeat a unique boss.

Notable abilities in the Bard school include: Requiem, the sole damaging Bard ability; Rallying Etude and Mana's Paean, which boost the psrty's ATK and MAG, respectively; Spellbend Etude and Enveloping Etude, which cast Shell and Protect on the party; several Rank 5 "Hymn" abilities that boost the party's stats more and more with repeated usage; and the Rank 6 ability Allegro con Moto.

Rank 6

Unlocking access to Rank 6 Bard abilities requires the individual character to be at Level 65 and have their second level cap broken, unlocking their Record Spheres. The player can then use Bard Motes to unlock access to Rank 6 Bard. Note that only characters with innate access to Rank 5 Bard will have the Empowered Sphere that includes access to Rank 6 Bard; characters who must use their Record Spheres to access Rank 5 have no Empowered Sphere for Bard and cannot access Rank 6.
