Balloon is an enemy in Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. It is moderately dangerous, as it can Self-Destruct and inflict major damage to the party due to its high HP, and usually appears in groups. It is best to reduce its HP as much as possible to lessen the amount of damage taken from Self-Destruct. Being hit by any Ice-elemental spells will trigger Self-Destruct as a counter. Balloons follow a strict pattern of Attack > Attack > Self-Destruct, so it is important to defeat it before its third turn.
