The Baert Trading Company, also known as Bart Trading Company, is an organization from Final Fantasy Tactics. Based in Warjilis Trade City, the Baert Trading Company is headed by Ludovich Baert. The organization is renowned for its charitable contributions to orphanages and provisions of infrastructure following The Fifty Years' War.
However, rumors persist that this is just a cover for their actual trade. The Baert Trading Company is said to be involved in opium smuggling, human-trafficking, organized crime, and murder.
In the story, the company is hired by Cardinal Delacroix to steal the Taurus auracite from Besrudio Bunansa. The mercenaries of the company fail to do so when Ramza intervenes, with the help of Besrudio's son, Mustadio. As punishment for his failure, Ludovich is killed by Delacroix, and the fate of the company following Ludovich's death is unknown.
