Avenger is a trophy Rare Game enemy found in the Pharos in Final Fantasy XII as part of the Hunt Club sidequest. It is a challenge during the first visit there as it has several dangerous moves. The Muramasa, the original version's second strongest non-elemental katana, can be stolen from it.
Avenger is also fought in the Zodiac versions Trial Mode at Stage 72, along with Diabolos and Overlord. When fought in the Trial Mode, the following items can be stolen from it: Argyle Armlet (common), Muramasa (uncommon) and Masamune (rare).

How to find[]
The player must have spoken to the "Huntmaster" in Phon Coast and defeated Thalassinon to start the Hunt Club quest. Avenger then has a 40% chance of appearing in the Station of Ascension area of the Pharos: Second Ascent. Alternately, one can kill off all the monsters in the area and then zone out to the Reach of the Damned area (64F). Upon reentering Station of Ascension (63F), Avenger should be at the bottom of the stairs.
