Auto-Float from FFIX Remastered

Auto-Float in Final Fantasy IX.

Auto-Float (いつでもレビテト, Itsudemo Rebiteto?), also known as Levitate, is a recurring ability that permanently puts the user in Float status, effectively nullifying all Earth-elemental damage and floor traps for that character.

Appearances[]

Final Fantasy VI[]

Auto-Float is found on the Angel Wings relic, and can be equipped by anyone. The status persist even after being KO'd. Enemies that have the Float status innately cannot be removed by Dispel. Gau and Gogo under the Rage status can gain this ability permanently when using specific Rages.

Final Fantasy IX[]

Auto-Float is a support ability learned from Venetia Shield and Feather Boots. The Feather Boots can be equipped by anyone, but the Venetia Shield can only be equipped by Steiner and Freya. It costs 6 Magic Stones to equip and can be learned by Zidane, Dagger, Vivi, Steiner, Freya, and Quina for 20 AP, Eiko for 25 AP and Amarant for 35 AP.

Final Fantasy XII[]

Automatic Float status is gained from the Winged Boots accessory.

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings[]

Auto-Float is an ability for Llyud that can be learned from the Winged Glove. It grants Float status to the entire team.

Final Fantasy Tactics[]

Move while floating a height of 1h above the ground.

Description

Levitate (also known as Float) is a movement ability. The Time Mage class learns it for 540 JP. A unit with this ability will have a permanent Float effect on them during combat and thus be able to walk over water and lava with no need to worry about movement penalties. The Winged Boots and Cherche accessories give the wearers Auto Float.
