Augments are support abilities and part of the License Board in Final Fantasy XII. They provide several benefits for a character, including boosted HP, decreased Charge Time, or strengthened damage output. Many stat-enhancing augments can also be achieved by equipping the appropriate accessory; because the effects do not stack, there is no benefit in having both simultaneously.
Enemies can also have their own augments, which are listed here.
Adrenaline, Last Stand, Spellbreaker, Focus, and Serenity[]
Augment
Effect
Adrenaline
Increases strength when HP is critical (HP is ≤15%), making normal attacks deal double damage. The effect is the same as the Steel Gorget accessory
Last Stand
Halves physical damage taken HP is critical (HP is ≤15%). The effect is the same as the Armguard accessory.
Spellbreaker
Increases magick power when HP is critical (HP is ≤15%), making offensive spells deal double damage, boosting healing by 50%, and giving status spells double chance to inflict the status. The effect is the same as the Leather Gorget accessory.
Focus
Increases strength when HP is full, making normal attacks deal 1.5x damage. The effect is the same as the Blazer Gloves accessory.
Serenity
Increases magick power when HP is full, boosting the power of offensive spells and healing by 50%, and doubling the chance of status spells succeeding. The effect is the same as the Magick Gloves accessory.
Phoenix Downs remove the KO status and, by default, restore a character to 20% of their maximum HP. Each Phoenix Lore boosts the amount of HP restored by 10%, up to 50% of maximum HP with all 3 Phoenix Lores. The Pheasant Netsuke doubles the restoration amount, allowing up to 100% recovery.
