The Attack Node is an enemy from Final Fantasy IV that appears alongside CPU and Defense Node in the Giant of Babil.
Fusoya's instructions to destroy the Defense Node first are erroneously retained from the original game, where the Attack Node is not a large threat. The Attack Node deals much more damage, so it should be defeated first before it can knock out most of the party.

Attack Node's Laser Barrage attack can easily deal ~2,800 damage, and will kill off most of the party in one or two hits, and thus the Attack Node must be the first enemy taken down. This can be achieved by throwing a Knife at it and melee-attacking with everyone else.
