Astrius is a character and summonable unit in War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. Astrius is the central antagonist of the Another Story sub-plot, as he corrupted the Crystals to achieve his personal goal.

Profile[]

Appearance[]

Astrius appears as a fair skinned young male with short blond hair and celestine eyes. Astrius wears a suit of grayish metallic armor along equally gray gauntlets. He dons his signature Mantle of Hope on top of his armor, a multi-colored cape with a complex design pattern on red and blue. Two long strands of tied clothing flail from behind his back. Beneath his armor he wears what appears to be black clothing with puffed sleeves, particularly near his shoulders. His hands are also black but appear to be part of his armored gloves.

Astrius wears a pair of crimson pants covered by long, dark gray armored leggings, darker than other parts of his armor. He wears a horned headgear with golden adornment at the center just above his forehead. His signature weapon is a single-bladed sword with a bladed and serrated design on its blade and part of its hilt. The blade has blue colored segments on both the front and the back and also in the "joints" of the hilt to the sides.

Personality[]

By virtue of his being, Astrius is a resentful existence. Born from Vardia's deep wish for freedom from his duty, Astrius embodies that desire to his core, making it his mission to terminate the Core Crystals and liberate the Warriors of the Crystals from their sacrificial fate. He scorns on his original as a feeble person who could neither fulfill his wish nor oppose his fate as he died for his duty as planned.

Astrius scorns on the world due to requiring the sacrifice of the Warriors to maintain, believing it perfectly natural to let the artificially sustained balance to collapse and with it whatever could happen to the world, caring little for any collateral damage that could ensue, so long as the duty of the Warriors is terminated and they achieve lasting freedom.

Astrius is cold and scheming, carrying out his plans with the utmost preparation. Although determined to the point of ruthlessness, Astrius acts out of a genuine sense of concern for his comrades. In fact, his one true desire was to live alongside his comrades.
