Assassinate (にんさつ, Ninsatsu?, lit. Stealth Kill), also known as Stealth Kill, Stop Bracelet, and Suffocate, is a recurring ability in Final Fantasy series. It deals critical damage to enemies, usually inflicting Instant Death.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years
Stealth Kill is a Ninjutsu skill that inflicts Instant Death at a cost of 30 MP. It is exclusive to Izayoi and is learned at Level 40.
Final Fantasy XI
Assassinate is a high level latent effect available to Thieves. It only becomes active at level 60. It serves to enhance Trick Attack so that whenever used the attack always lands and always scores a critical hit.
Final Fantasy XIV
Assassinate is a Level 60 Ninja ability. It deals a critical direct hit with a potency of 200. It can only be executed while under the effect of Assassinate Ready. It has an instant cast time.
Final Fantasy Tactics
Suffocate (Stop Bracelet on PlayStation) is an Assassins' exclusive ability. It instantly kills almost every enemy. The player can have an access to this ability only via hacking.

Assassinate is the level 18 ability of the Ninja class, requiring 525 AP to learn. At the cost of 36 MP, the user will attempt to inflict Instant Death to one target.
