Artifacts are a category of enhancement items in Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia.

Mechanics[edit | edit source]

Artifacts are typically obtained as mission rewards from select events and their associated token exchanges. By themselves, they are treated as armor, yet they only provide defense equal to their current level. When used as material for limit-breaking, however, two or more artifacts of identical rarity for the same marked character will give the base artifact a substantial EXP boost. When said artifact is completely broken and mastered, the artifact gains a rank and a randomized passive ability or set of abilities will be drawn out from it, with a random CP cost to equip between 5 and 20 CP. Each playable character has a limit of 5 ability sets, and can equip up to 3 of these at any given time. Players may learn ability sets as many times as is desired, with any amount over 5 triggering the option to replace an existing set
