In the Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection version, it will counter with Electromagnetism every time the player hits him with Lightning, inflicting Stop to a random party member.
In the 3D versions, Armor Construct is weak to Lightning.
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years[]
They will counter any magic attack by using Self-Destruct, so it is advised to only use physical attacks on them. The Armor Construct the player faces as a "Monster-in-a-Box" drops a Ribbon, and this is only accessible in "The Planet Eater" episode.
