Template:Images Armor is a type of equipment in the series that raises defensive stats such as Defense, Evasion, and Magic Defense. These items also usually grant bonuses against or even complete immunity from elemental damage or certain status changes. In some recent titles, like Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy Tactics, Armor also grants bonuses towards HP and MP, depending on the type of armor worn.
In the series, there are four main types of Armor, and they are split into smaller categories:
- Shields
- Shields
- Body Armor
- Headgear
- Armguards
