Arch Azul (真・アスール, Shin Asūru?, lit. True Azul) is a boss in Chapter 9 of Dirge of Cerberus -Final Fantasy VII- following the battle with Neo Azul. This creature is a form of the character Azul the Cerulean, and is a massive beast, similar in stature to a Behemoth. Since it has massive attacking power, fighting Arch Azul with melee attacks is probably not a good idea.
Arch Azul is immune to attacks from the player's guns, no matter what level they are at, thus the player must use magic. If the player leads Azul around, they can make it knock down six pedestals, revealing useful Mako Points that can be used to replenish MP. Even after all this, the player must still be cautious. Azul has strong attacking power, and its charge attack is devastating. Thunder magic works well. Limit Breaks are also effective for a quick victory.
