Arast is an enemy in Final Fantasy X-2 that appears in the Road to the Farplane and Cloisters 65-69 of the Via Infinito. It uses Imp's model from Final Fantasy X.

The Arast has a permanent Reflect status, meaning any spells directed towards it will bounce back to their caster. The Arast has a 1/7 chance of doing each of the following: Curse on a random character, Osmose on the character with the highest remaining MP, Drain on the character with the lowest remaining HP, or casting any of the third-tier elemental spells on itself, which then bounce back to a random character. If its MP is reduced to 29 or lower, it will use Osmose on whoever has the highest remaining MP.
The Arast takes double damage from the Fire element but is immune to Ice, Lightning, and Water. On the other hand, its Magic Defense is very high, so a mix between physical attacks and Fire-based magic is the best way to defeat this foe. If one wants to use magic against the Arast, it may be ideal to instead use multi-target spells like Annihilator and Ultima as they ignore its innate Reflect status.
Arasts are always encountered either as a pair or paired with one other enemy type. In the Via Infinito, they are always paired with a Volcano.
