The Anubys (called Anubys of the Abyss when faced in the Slaughterhouse) is an enemy in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. It lacks a Last One and is frequently encountered in the external portions of Nova Chrysalia from 16:00 to 18:00.

Its monster notes can be bought from Yusnaan Lower City.

Battle

Anubys uses powerful physical attacks. Lightning can instantly stagger it by performing a carefully-timed Guard.

They drop the Heavy Slash ability and the Death Herald weapon that sells for 1,250 gil. The Death Game quest is a good place to to farm these.

Strategy

The player should inflict Anubys with Deprotect and then use physical attacks.
