The Anubys (アヌビス, Anubisu?), also known as the Anubis, is a recurring creature in the Final Fantasy series, first appearing in The Final Fantasy Legend. It most frequently appears as a canine-headed humanoid.

The Anubys appears as a trophy Rare Game enemy encountered in the Sochen Cave Palace as part of the Hunt Club sidequest. It is derived from the Abysteel enemy, and shares its appearance.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII[]
The Anubys appears as an enemy encountered in the external portions of Nova Chrysalia from 16:00 to 18:00. It lacks a Last One. Its monster notes can be bought from Yusnaan Lower City.
Final Fantasy XIV[]
The Anubys from Lightning Returns appears appears as an enemy during
Lightning Strikes - Anubys Assault in Mor Dhona as part of the Lightning Strikes crossover event. The Anubys is used as the basis of the Shabti enemy family, being chimerical creations of the Allagan Empire.

Final Fantasy Legend III[]
The Anubis appears as an enemy and potential transformation for party members. It is the pinnacle of Beast transformations, alongside Aeshma, but has a much more versatile skillset than Aeshma, including Selfix for automatic healing each turn, StonSkin to turn enemies to stone (instant defeat) either actively or as a free counterattack, Quake to attack every enemy at once, and immunity to all status effects. However, like bosses, it takes double damage from the Mystic swords.
