The Ankheg, also known as the Centipede or PEDE, is an enemy in Final Fantasy. Its attacks may inflict Poison. As they do not have any elemental weaknesses, physical blows are recommended. They have only 222 HP, so it's easier to attack with the entire party rather than healing or using magic. They are found commonly around Crescent Lake and within Mount Gulg. As with many of the same type of enemy, they appear in groups of one to four. The player should watch their party's HP, as it may dwindle quickly.
