Ankheg (アンクヘッグ, Ankuheggu?), also known as PEDE, Megapede, Centipeelr, and Centipede, is a recurring enemy in the Final Fantasy series, debuting in the original Final Fantasy. They resemble giant myriapods.

Ankheg, also known as PEDE or Centipede, is an enemy fought at Mount Gulg and around Crescent Lake, using basic physical attacks that can inflict Poison. They appear in groups of up to 4, but are otherwise weak foes.

Ankheg, also known as Centipeelr, is an enemy fought outside the Phoenix Tower, and fight within groups of itself. It attacks using the powerful Earthquake ability, but otherwise is easy to defeat with the usage of Blizzaga.
