Angela is one of the main protagonists of Trials of Mana and its 2020 remake. She appears in the Final Fantasy series as a vision in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius.
She is the princess of the snowbound kingdom of Altena, a realm of magicians in the far north whose queen develops a lust for power from the eight Mana Stones that hold the world in balance. Advised by a man known only as the Crimson Wizard, the True Queen of Altena proposes invading the central kingdom of Valsena and sacrificing her only daughter to unseal the Stones, as she lacks magical ability. Angela escapes Altena and sets off on a journey to mend her shattered relationship with her mother. She soon becomes embroiled in the greater battle for control of the Stones and of mana power as a whole.
