Uses Remedy on all party members.
Description
Angel's Snack is a Blu Mag spell for Quina in Final Fantasy IX that uses Remedies to all available allies at a cost of 4 MP, healing various status abnormalities. It cannot be reflected and would not work with Return Magic were an enemy to use it on the player party, but no enemy does.
Obtain[]
Quina learns Angel's Snack by eating an Ironite, Mistodon, Epitaph, or Behemoth. The earliest it can be learned is right after Quina is recruited from the Mist Continent Qu's Marsh, from the Ironites on the world map near Chocobo's Forest. There are also Ironites in Burmecia.
Mechanics[]
Angel's Snack cures Stop, Poison, Venom, Mini, Gradual Petrify, Silence, and Darkness statuses from all of the party as long as the player has enough Remedies in their inventory. Using the ability costs 4 MP as well as one Remedy per active party member: four most of the time Quina is in the party. If the player has fewer Remedies than party members, the available Remedies are given to random party members, and the ability fails on the others.
Use[]
Angel's Snack is great for healing the party of various status abnormalities in one go. However, it does not work against all status ailments, such as Sleep, Confuse, Zombie, Berserk, Trouble, Doom, Virus, or Petrify, limiting its usefulness.
Few enemies use statuses against multiple party members at once, as even the Malboro's Bad Breath only hits one target at a time. It can still be a good ability against Quale, Ozma, Hades, and the final boss. The primary means to protect the party should be via support abilities, however.
Using Angel's Snack often quickly runs the party dry of Remedies, which is one of the more expensive commodity items in the game. The items targeted to curing a specific ailments are much cheaper to use. The party's White Mages also learn Panacea, Stona, Mini and Esuna between them, though only Mini can be be group-cast.
