The Anavatapta Warmech is a boss in Final Fantasy XIII. The fight begins with Odin in Gestalt Mode, and given the Warmech's Lightning weakness, it can be defeated before Gestalt Mode ends. If it survives, it is fought with Lightning, Snow, and Vanille.

The Cocoon script writing on Anavatapta Warmech's arm reads "02". Anavatapta Warmech has the same model as Manasvin Warmech, the only differences being the red and black color scheme and different Cocoon script writing.

Stats Edit

Battle Edit

Since the battle starts with Lightning already summoning her Eidolon, Odin, one can simply press the default button for Auto-gestalt and let Odin take care of the rest.

If Anavatapta Warmech survives past Odin, it will use Omnegator to put a bubble around it, making it immune to all attacks. The player can Stagger it with Ravager attacks and it will lose its immunity. However, if the player fails to defeat it with Odin, it's recommended to simply restart to save time.

FFRK Anavatapta Warmech FFXIII

The Anavatapta Warmech uses the group physical attack Antimatter Bomb and the single-target physical attack Gravity Beam to deal damage to your heroes based on their current HP, kupo! It can also blast one of your heroes three times with the ranged physical attack Ternary Plasma, so even though it resists break debuffs, it's worth using Power Break and Protect to reduce the damage. It uses Omnegator twice as its HP drops, creating a barrier that protects it from all damage, but you can remove each barrier by attacking it four times--but abilities that deal damage multiple times only count as a single attack, kupo! The Anavatapta Warmech is weak to lightning, so abilities like Thunder and Thunder Strike will give it a real jolt, kupo! Slow doesn't affect it while Omnegator is active, but otherwise it doesn't resist this debuff, so use it to give yourself a fighting chance!

Dr. Mog's Advice

The Anavatapta Warmech appears as the boss of the "Eden, Part 1" Core Dungeon. It uses Ternary Plasma, Gravity Beam, and Antimatter Bomb, the first dealing physical damage to three targets and the latter two dealing Gravity-damage to one or more targets. It will use Omnegator to raise a barrer to negate four damaging attacks, the barrier falling after the fourth hit.

Etymology Edit

Anavatapta refers to the lake at the center of the world, according to Buddhist cosmology. This lake is said to be "free from heat," the origin of its name, and that its waters cools those who have been tormented by fires.
