- A red-tinged anak almost genetically identical to her brethren. Her color is advantageous when trying to attract a mate. Unfortunately, her enticing hue also creates chaotic competition among all other anak in the area—male and female alike—so hunters try to take down these red rogues as quickly as possible.

Anakadoms are weak to greatswords, polearms and lightning. When attacked from behind, they kick with their hind legs, knocking the assailant back, or leap away. They spring onto their hind legs to attack those directly in front of them with their hooves (can be blocked and parried). They swing their long neck from side to side to attack in a wider arc.
Throwing Thunder elemancy at the herd of them when they are still grouped together is a good way to start the battle off. It is best to not get caught in the middle of the herd when playing as Noctis, as he is easily staggered by the large beasts' attacks. The player can lock onto the head and warp-strike to hopefully break off their antlers.
Anak is a figure in the Hebrew Bible in the conquest of Canaan by the Israelites who, according to the Book of Numbers, was a forefather of the Anakim who have been considered "strong and tall", they were also said to have been a mixed race of giant people, descendants of the Nephilim.
