Stats[]

Battle[]

FFVIII Dark Mist

Dark Mist.

Lower level Anacondaurs start using Dark Mist after losing 50% of their HP inflicting Darkness to one target, Mid and high level Anacondaurs use Poison Mist that may inflict Poison. If attacked twice between turns where the last hit is a physical attack, the Anacondaur will counterattack with Squeeze. Anacondaur is weak against Ice attacks. It is an easy source of Dragon Skins needed for Zell's ultimate weapon.

Strategy[]

It is not particularly strong, but is susceptible to Sleep. Casting Blizzard spells either from the Magic stock of Selphie's Slot is good, as well as summoning Shiva.

Triple Triad[]

TTAnacondaur

Anacondaur is a Level 2 Monster Card in Triple Triad used for playing the minigame and for turning into Venom Fang with Quezacotl's Card Mod. It is one of the few poison-elemental cards in the game.

Etymology[]

An anaconda is a large snake found in tropical South America. Although the name applies to a group of snakes, it is often used to refer only to one species in particular, the common or green anaconda, Eunectes murinus, which is one of the largest snakes in the world. Giant Anacondas are sometimes said to be as long as thirty meters but such snakes are considered urban myths by experts.
