Ameliance Leveilleur [əˈmiːl.jəns ˌlɛv.eɪˈjɜːr] is a character in Final Fantasy XIV. She is the wife of Fourchenault Leveilleur and mother to twins Alphinaud and Alisaie.
History[]
Early life[]
Ameliance attended the Studium in her youth, meeting and eventually falling in love with Fourchenault Leveilleur. After their graduation, the two married and had children. Following her twins' departure to Eorzea, she read her son's letters, and when they joined the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, she sent money to help fund the organization.
Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker[]
After the Forum acquitted the Warrior of Light and the Scions of trespassing, Ameliance introduced herself to the group, and was ecstatic to meet the Warrior. She invited the Warrior of Light to the Leveilleur mansion, knowing her husband was away from other matters. She instructed her servants to avoid mentioning the twins or the Warrior visiting to Fourchenault. At the mansion, she presented her children with new clothing, and gave Alphinaud a Sage Soul Crystal and his father's old weapons. She told the Warrior the twins spoke fondly of them in their letters and asked the Warrior to continue to guide them.
Ameliance was later revealed as the Scions' biggest financier, having paid for many of their operations, including their acquisition of refined Allagan Adamantite, and having done so without Fourchenault's knowledge. She cited the impracticality of transporting the family fortune to space and not letting the gil go to waste as the reason, which allowed her to maintain the appearance of impartiality.

Ameliance became a Custom Delivery NPC in patch 6.1, "A Newfound Adventure". Inviting the Warrior of Light to afternoon tea with Rowena and F'lhaminn Qesh, the three women discussed business opportunities now that Sharlayan had opened its gates to the rest of the world again, with Ameliance deciding to not only provide funding for international students looking to study in Sharlayan, but to also offer house and board to a young alchemist from Thavnair named Mildaeen.
Though the young girl was overwhelmed by her opportunity to study in such luxurious accommodations, Ameliance took a liking to Mildaeen, ensuring that she receives the best-made tools, alchemical materials, and whatever she desired, including learning Hannish cooking to ensure that Mildaeen ate food that she was comfortable having so far from home. She was ever grateful for the Warrior of Light to assist in both crafting and gathering the materials needed to fund the education program and provide comfort for Mildaeen.
When Mildaeen finished her semester in Sharlayan, she returned to Ameliance to thank her for her hospitality and adoration for the cultural differences between them, and to showcase her newfound alchemcy skills and magical abilities with healing magic. Mildaeen told Ameliance that her encouragement had allowed her to be comfortable enough to push herself even further, and that the kindness she had showed would not be forgotten.

Appearance[]
Ameliance is a Wildwood Elezen with brown eyes and white hair tied in a ponytail by a black ribbon. She has brown eyes and wears a choir dress dyed Ice Blue and wears Mheg Deaca Boots.
After completing her Custom Delivery storyline, players can dress Ameliance up in fashion of their own choice. She specifically requests new tastes that 'might cause Fourchenault to blush'.
Personality[]
Compared to her more stern and serious husband, Fourchenault, Ameliance is warm, welcoming, and playfully bright. She is a loving mother to her twin children, and even after Fourchenault disowns them, Ameliance happily welcomes Alphinaud and Alisaie back into her home. Her advice lets them eventually get through Fourchenault's stubbornness. Though she disagreed with her husband's views and even seemed the antithesis of him, they are happily married given how well she knows him.
In contrast to her husband's tendency to flee the room whenever Alphinaud and Alisaie send letters home about their adventures, Ameliance is eager to learn what her children have been up to, though she knows they leave out certain details to keep her from worrying. Ameliance can tell her children have grown from their adventures, whereas her husband initially refused to acknowledge it. When the Scions return to Sharlayan, Ameliance is happy to welcome the people Fourchenault derided into her home, asking the Warrior of Light to regale her with stories about their exploits. She also invites Estinien over for tea thanks to Alphinaud's glowing praise of him. For Ameliance, meeting the Warrior is like seeing an old friend for the first time in a long while, as practically all of her children's letters had praised them. She would even happily welcome the Warrior as a full member of her family following their mission to save the world if not for the absurd amount of paperwork it required.
In one sidequest, the servants of House Leveilleur reveal that Ameliance considers them all family and is happy to share the contents of her children's letters with them; they in return have a deep sense of loyalty to the Leveilleur household.
Ameliance is excellent at exploiting loopholes, as unlike Fourchenault, who refused to support the Scions due to differing beliefs, she was sending excess family funds to bankroll the Scions even before they were formally an organization, much to Fourchenault's disbelief and her children's surprise. She had made the donations as a neutral party, merely stating it was a useful way to spend their family's hardly used fortune.

In Patch 6.15, Ameliance was added as a Custom Delivery NPC. To unlock her custom deliveries, the player must first complete the main scenario quest 
Endwalker and the quest 
Go West, Craftsman. After that, the player can unlock Ameliance's Custom Deliveries through Of Mothers and Merchants quest by talking to Well-dressed Attendant in Old Sharlayan (X:12.6 Y:9.7).
The Ameliance's Custom Deliveries are located in Old Sharlayan at The Leveilleur Estate (x:15.6, y:7.2). Every week the player delivers collectible items to her and receives crafting and gathering scrips, in addition to experience and gil.
Players can gain the ability to cast glamours on Ameliance by raising her satisfaction level to the maximum.
