Following in the robed individuals' footsteps, the party leaves the down-at-heel settlement of North Corel for the glittering opulence of the Gold Saucer-the theme park that never sleeps. Rising high above the wastelands, it has truly earned its sobriquet as the "gilded paradise".
Description
Chapter 8: All That Glitters is the eighth chapter in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. It comprises Cloud and the party's visit to The Gold Saucer and then Corel Prison (now known as The Dustbowl).
It is the game's equivalent of both Sanctuary of Amusement and The Desert Prison from the original game.
The order of events in the original game, where you fight Dyne and then have the chance to race Chocobos for your freedom and access to a buggy allowing the player to progress outside of the Corel region, are swapped around. You now race Chocobos to be able to leave the Dustbowl and then head to the Scrapyard Prison Cell to find Barret and battle Dyne, and it's only after these events that the player gets access to the buggy.
