Single slot. All is a Support Materia in Final Fantasy VII. When linked with a variety of Magic Materia, it allows their spells to be multi-targeted to all members of the allied or enemy party. This can have both defensive and offensive uses. All allows the linked Materia to be multi-targeted a limited number of times, based on All Materia's level, up to five times.

All can be linked with Restore, Heal, Revive, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Earth, Poison, Gravity, Seal, Mystify, Transform, Time, Barrier, Destruct, and Master Magic.

Mega All applies the same effect to all commands.

Sephiroth in the Kalm flashback has All Materia equipped.

Obtained[]

All is a common Support Materia. It is first obtained in the Sector 7 Slums' Beginner's Hall, and later in floor 63 of the Shinra Bldg. When Red XIII joins the party, he has All initially equipped. After Midgar, All can be found in the Cargo Ship, Mt. Nibel, and Great Glacier.

All can be purchased from the Fort Condor shop after obtaining Highwind for 20,000 gil. It can also be won as a prize for 89+ points in the Snowboarding Course B at the Gold Saucer.

Level AP required Effect
1 0 Allows linked Magic Materia to target all allies or enemies once. Single-target spells receive a 1/3rd damage penalty when targeting all enemies this way.
2 1500 Allows linked Magic Materia to target all allies or enemies twice.
3 6000 Allows linked Magic Materia to target all allies or enemies three times.
4 18000 Allows linked Magic Materia to target all allies or enemies four times.
5 35000 Allows linked Magic Materia to target all allies or enemies five times.

Use[]

All can be linked with a variety of Magic Materia to multi-target their spells a limited number of times per battle. It can be used with healing spells to heal all allies, or with offensive spells to deal damage to all enemies. Both applications are useful in a variety of cases.

Early on, there are a limited number of All Materia, meaning the player must choose which to link it with. It is normally best used with Restore at this stage, as healing all allies is invaluable, whereas damaging all enemies is less useful due to limited MP and many single-target battles. When they become more plentiful, or if the player is against a boss with multiple parts, it is better then to link All with more offensive Materia.

One major use for the All Materia is in gil farming. Materia's value when sold is based on its AP value, though when mastered, it sells for significantly more. A mastered All Materia sells for 1,400,000 gil. As All is quick to master, this makes it an efficient way to farm enough gil for the whole rest of the game.

Some tier 3 spells from Magic Materia have different animations when used with All.
