The Air Elemental (エアエレメンタル, Eaerementaru? or 風のエレメント, Kaze no Eremento?, lit. Wind Element), also known as the AIR, Air Element, Aeros, or Wind Elemental, is a recurring enemy in the Final Fantasy series, debuting in the original Final Fantasy. Its attacks and affinity are based on the wind element.

The Air Elemental, also known as AIR or Aeros, appears on the Flying Fortress. Due to its incorporeal form, Air Elemental resists most status afflictions and all ground-based magic, such as Quake. To compensate, this monster has relatively few HP and only moderate damage output.
Final Fantasy XI[]
A member of the Elemental family, Air Elementals are fought as regular and notorious monsters.
Final Fantasy XII[]
Air Elemental is an elemental enemy found on the Pora-Pora Sands and Limatra Hills areas of the Phon Coast during rainy weather. It is docile unless attacked or magick is used nearby. They can be dangerous if the party is on a low level. Four of them are also fought alongside a Sylphi Entite in the Zodiac versions' Trial Mode in Stage 78.
