In its Oversoul state, Agama loses its Poison Fang ability, but uses Desperate Strike, which deals damage equal to the amount of HP it has lost.

A notable Agama gloats to be great at impersonating other fiends, a talent that Shinra comments to be too nosy for his taste. Once dropped off in Kilika, to Shinra's relief, Agama continues practicing impressions before being surrounded by a pack of Coeurl with it being revealed that Agama's impersonation of a Coeurl was in fact a signal to its fellow Coeurl that it had found prey.

Agama is a genus of small-to-moderate-sized, long-tailed, insectivorous lizards native to Africa.
