Avis Killer (エイビスキラー, Eibisu Kirā?), also known as Aevis Killer, Ab Splitter, or simply Aevis, is a recurring crossbow in the series.

Final Fantasy V
The Aevis Killer, known in the Anthology release as "Ab Splitter", and in the RPGe translation as "Avis", is a high-ranked Bow that provides 89 Attack and deals critical damage against Aevis enemies. It can be acquired either by winning it or stealing it from the Tot Aevis.
Final Fantasy XII
The Aevis Killer is a low-ranked bow that provides 27 Attack and 5% critical rate. It can be bought for 1,500 gil at Rabanastre and Bhujerba, and requires 30 LP and the Bows 2 license in order to equip. Bows are among the slowest weapons in the game with 2.96s charge, and 1.4s action time.
