Appearances[]

Final Fantasy III[]

Advance is the command ability of the Warrior class. Advance lets the Warrior sacrifice some defense in order to strike harder.

Both the damage bonus and defense reduction are related to the Warrior's current job level using the following formulas:

Damage Bonus = Original Damage x (1.5 + JobLv / 110)
Defense Reduction = Original Defense x (1.5 + JobLv / 110)

Which give the following results:

Job Level Damage Multiplier Defense Reduction
1-10 1.5 1.5
11-21 1.6 1.6
22-32 1.7 1.7
33-43 1.8 1.8

55-65 2.0 2.0

99 2.4 2.4
