Story[edit | edit source]
Early life[edit | edit source]
Though born to a lesser house, Ser Adelphel is a formidable fighter and admired for his elegant swordsmanship. He trained rigorously from an early age at the behest of his father, who believed it would help him excel in high society. Having mastered the combat arts, he won much glory on the battlefield and eventually secured a place within the archbishop's personal guard.
Afterwards, Ser Adelphel rose to great prominence and attracted the attention of countless young noble-women, many with whom he was rumored to have had relations. The knowledge that he had sworn an oath to never marry or father children seemed only to inflame their passions further, and the young knight found himself challenged to duels by disgruntled husbands, brothers and fathers with alarming frequency.
Ser Adelphel is first fought as a boss in the Vault, attempting to halt the Warrior of Light's progress. After defeat even after transforming into a large, inhuman knight, Ser Adelphel escapes to the Inner Sanctum.
Later, alongside his fellow Heavens' Ward, Ser Adelphel joins Thordan VII in the Singularity Reactor after the Warrior of Light defeats both Lahabrea and Igeyorhm. The knights transform into the Knights of the Round and assist King Thordan in combat against the Warrior of Light.
Upon defeat, Adelphel and the other knights fall to the ground, and are encompassed in a swell of aetherical light.
