Story[]

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. (Skip section)

Lost Chapter: Balamb Whiplash[]

Steiner explores a lava field near Capta Est Tower resembling the Fire Cavern. He is accompanied by Quistis, who recently joined the warriors during their journey through this area, as well as by Y'shtola and Galuf. During their sortie, Quistis’ group finally encounters Squall and Zell, who warmly welcome her. They are the first from her world to have recognized her since she was pulled into the world of respite by the goddess Materia. Quistis immediately notes with surprise Squall’s concern for her well-being, to which Galuf and Steiner reassure her that this is typical of his demeanour in this world. The group takes a break to explain their full situation to Quistis.

Lost Chapter: A Burning Passion[]

Snow Villiers joins the warriors of light on their mission to close Torsions in the world of light. As they approach the final one in to the area where they first meet him, Snow reaffirms to Firion and the other warriors that he indeed intends to protect everyone he now calls an ally in this world. Wakka questions the authenticity of such a bold and wide claim. However, Snow responds to his fellow journeyers, also including Steiner, Ace and Ramza, by explaining that he fights because he doesn’t want to lose anyone he loves. He fights for them especially because in the world from which he came, he was so uncertain of what the truth was that all he had to cling to were his ties to his loved ones. Steiner and the others each resonate with various elements of Snow's principled approach to his fighting, and to his commitment to Serah.

Lost Chapter: The Power of Valor[]

Steiner and the other warriors of light explore an abandoned palace when they hear a warrior in battle with monsters. Rem recognizes the warrior as Cater, and Steiner joins her to investigate. They encounter her just as she finishes defeating the last of her assailants. Steiner is surprised Cater defeated the monsters all by herself. Cater is confused by Steiner's attire, as well as that of Yang's. He is offended when Cater asks if he is a circus performer, but decides to give her a pass.

As Mog invites Cater to join the warriors of light, Cater sprints off to check an unexplored section of the palace. As Rem chides Cater for her impulsiveness, Steiner rallies the group to chase after her to ensure her safety.

Act 2, Ch. 7: Respite's Authenticity[]

After Materia summons Ignis Scientia to the world of respite, he joins the warriors of light as they travel through the mountains near an abandoned city. He becomes acquainted with Steiner, Edgar, Lenna and Rosa. Steiner is surprised Ignis serves not merely as Prince Noctis's "tactician", but also monitors his nutrition. Steiner and Edgar tattle on Noctis for foregoing his vegetables earlier that day, much to Ignis's consternation.
