Ranged attacks and magic may work the best to stay clear of Adamantoise's strong attacks. The earth shake attack must still be looked out for. Because the Adamantoise is so large it can corner its opponents so it is best to keep distance and ensure not to get stuck in corners. In Innsmouth Coast Adamantoise itself can get stuck in a corner: if it starts to approach a target but is blocked by the rock formation on the side, it is halted and is stuck in its "running animation" forever trying to reach the cadet out of reach. The cadet can then shoot at it with ranged attacks without fear of retaliation until its massive HP is depleted.

Template:See Also This more aggressive relative of the adamantortoise catches its opponent off-guard with an earth-shaking belly flop, then rushes in to chomp its prey to bits. However, the adamantoise is an extremely rare species, residing only on the Innsmouth Coast and at the Dragon Sanctuary.

Battle

Adamantoise is large and protected by its shell everywhere but its very front, making it invulnerable to any back or side attacks. It moves slowly and blows bubbles that slowly home in on targets and deal damage on impact. Its earth shake attack inflicts Stop on a large radius and there is a brief Breaksight strike chance when it is going to use it. When near its targets the Adamantoise swipes at them with its enormous claws dealing heavy damage. On its last bar of health Adamantoise "becomes more vicious" and gains speed.

Strategy

Abilities that can force Breaksight hits (Hawkeye and Jack's Tranquility with Tranquility: +Killsight) can greatly speed up the process of defeating Adamantoises at low levels.
