The Adamantoise, also called Turtle, is an enemy in Final Fantasy IV. It appears in the Antlion's Den.
It is easily defeated with the help of Blizzard spells. If the player does not want to waste MP, Cecil's physical attacks or an Ice Rod equipped to Rydia should be enough to defeat it.

Adamantoise is a portmanteau of "adamantite" and "tortoise".
Adamantite and similar words including Adamant and Adamantine are used to refer to any especially hard substance, whether composed of diamond, some other gemstone, or some type of metal.
