The Adamantoise is an enemy in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time. Appearing as large, turtle-like creatures, Adamantoises have high HP and guard themselves by withdrawing in their shell. Attacking while it is Guarding results in a spinning counter-attack.
Some species can even utilize the Barrier spell and are known for spewing fireballs, the only way to harm them seriously is to cast Quake or Quaga, which results in flipping them over revealing their soft underbellies that can be stepped on for more damage. If this is a problem, Charge/Smash attacks bypass both an Adamantoise's Barrier spell and Guard.
