The Adamantite Golem is an enemy in Final Fantasy V. It is a strong monster with high Attack and Defense capabilities, and usually attacks in pairs or solo. The summoned version does not count in the bestiary.
Thundaga works well in dispatching them and bypassing their defenses, though a Gold Needle can also defeat them in one blow. The player can also control them with a Beastmaster, select the fourth "Attack" command, make it aim at itself, and it will instantly kill itself. It is advised to have a Knight to help soften the damage, especially when party members start to get low on health, by using the Defend command. They are otherwise not a difficult opponent compared to the creatures found on higher floors of Castle Exdeath.

In modern times, the word golem, sometimes pronounced goilem in Yiddish, has come to mean one who is slow, clumsy, and generally dimwitted.
