The Adamant Isles Forest is a location unique to Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. It is located on a small island near the island on which Mythril is located. The Adamant Isles Forest is the final dungeon of the Tale. The player alternates control of the two parties.
Story[]
During Yang's Tale, Yang, Ursula, and three monks from Fabul are forced to land on this island when their ship runs out of fuel after being attacked by monsters while sailing to Baron. Yang ventures into the forest to look for palm oil to fuel the ship, and Ursula and the Monks then go to look for him. Eventually, Ursula's group is attacked by an Adamantoise.
Unable to harm it due to its thick shell providing high defenses, the monks are beaten down until Yang arrives and calls for Ursula to remember her training—to strike an enemy's weak point when frontal attacks are ineffective. With this advice Ursula gains the Tenketsu ability which can lower the Adamantoise's defenses and render it vulnerable. Upon defeating it, they leave the forest and return to the ship.
