A Tea Party & Festive Eggs was a seasonal event in Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. Coinciding with the Western Easter season and early Spring, this event takes place in a festive alternate reality of the Chocobo Farm created by a portal in the lifestream.
Story[]
After walking through yet another portal, Cloud and co., now with Cait Sith in their ranks, arrive at the Chocobo Farm to help Choco Bill and his family prepare for an egg hunt. The work is laborious, leading to some minor complaints; but overall, the party is more than happy to lend its aid. There is, however, one "small" problem: strange knit bunny-egg fiends have stolen all of the eggs that were so carefully decorated just moments before. Defeating these assailants could salvage the event, and so a mad scramble is now underway to do just that. However, individual party members get distracted from the hunt in various ways after they do not seem to find the interlopers. How this happens depends on the party fighting the Bunny Eggs at High Risk 1 difficulty:
- Cait Sith: When asked about his progress, the robot cat produces an odd, yet negative fortune telling the party to go to a place with two lighthouses if they wish to find happiness. There are no such places in the Grasslands, but Cait Sith vows to continue the search as he tries to figure out how to interpret his reading.
- Aerith: The flower girl finds a new and particularly hardy species of flower in the Grasslands. She invites Cloud over for a look at it, after which both marvel at its beauty. Aerith then decides to bring a bundle of the flowers back to the farm.
- Tifa: The bartender is left scratching her head as to why the fiends attacked. In a chat with Cloud, the two propose that the beasts mistook the decorated eggs for more of their kind. Tifa then reflects back on her childhood in Nibeheim and how she enjoyed tea parties. She would invite the townsfolk, but Cloud would refuse for lack of interest. She offers tea, but Cloud again rebuffs her, wanting to focus on the task at hand. Tifa is nonetheless determined to see the event succeed and to have Cloud join her.
Having eventually found the fiends and the lot of the eggs off-camera, the egg hunt is a smashing success. For their efforts, the party is rewarded with a tea party all their own. Cloud is, of course, disinterested, but eventually gives in. Cait Sith finally figures out what his card means; Aerith brings in her flowers; and Tifa gets her dream tea date with Cloud.
Event rewards[]
Following the format of previous holiday events, players could fight Levrikons and the Bunny Egg trio (based on the yet-to-appear Grangalan enemy type) for Floral Eggs, Spotted Eggs, and Chocobo Eggs to trade in the shop. The featured items were Zack's Carrot Sword and Red XIII's Egg Collar.

This event was also accompanied by a Stamp Card draw for Aerith's Egg Staff and Classic Coney gear alongside Lucia's Rose Musket and Gothic Bunny gear. The midpoint Stamp Card draw featured Tifa's Bunny set alongside Cait Sith's Party Jacket and Flower Vase.
Behind the scenes[]
A remix of "Waltz de Chocobo" was used as the menu screen theme for the event.
This event pre-dated Cait Sith's arrival in FFVII Chapter 6, "On the Road".
Preparations for this event required a brief late-morning (PDT) maintenance downtime on March 27, 2024.
