A Resonant Waltz was an event in Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. This event initially ran from November 10 to December 9, 2023, and was a collaboration with Final Fantasy IX. A Reawakened version ran from August 14 to September 6, 2024.
Synopsis[]
Occasionally, the lifestream gains the power to bridge the space between dimensions, carrying the memories and inhabitants of the planes that become linked by it. On one such day as this phenomenon occurs, Cloud Strife, Tifa Lockhart, Aerith Gainsborough, Lucia Lin, and Sephiroth are pulled from their respective time periods to a world blanketed in a thick fog. An ominous voice warns each of the travelers that if they do not resolve the events that brought them here, they may not return. Each finds themselves clad in strange garb, aboard a ship wherein three winged demons in steepled hats wait to battle them.

In the vein of a Critical Threat event, players challenged the Black Waltz triumvirate aboard a facsimile of the Dali-Lindblum cargo ship for Black Feathers, Peridots, and later Aquamarines for use in the exchanges. Featured gear included Vivi's Garb and Vivi's Magical Gun for Lucia, and the Steiner's Blade axe for Glenn.
Featured draws[]
Coinciding with this event were three stamp card draws for Cloud and Tifa, then Aerith, then Sephiroth. The Reawakened run combined all draws (reducing the total number of featured draws to two) and added the Beatrix Sword for Zack and Quina Megaphone for Cait Sith. These exclusive weapons and gear cannot be obtained in other draws or missions outside of the event period.
