A Helping Hand is a quest in Chapter 16, "The Belly of the Beast" in Final Fantasy VII Remake, taking place in the Shinra Building. While Cloud Strife, Tifa Lockhart, and Barret Wallace explore the Shinra Building, they are called upon by Hart, who escorts them to Mayor Domino.

Secret door in the archives.

In floor 62's Corporate Archives, open the door ahead, leading to a cutscene. Following this, the party must head to floor 63's Recreation Facility and find an Avalanche collaborator. Hart will give a clue for 10,000 gil. This is unnecessary to find the collaborator, but Hart will give the EKG Cannon EKG Cannon if paid. Before leaving the floor, a treasure chest in the north end of the room also contains 3,000 gil. Use the stairs on the southeast end down to a lower level, head out through the door at the north end, and use the escalator up to the 63rd floor. While using the escalator, a cutscene begins.

On the 63rd floor, use the keycard to open the door in front, and after a short cutscene, run through to the Food Court, and use the stairs to an upper room level. Here, the Shinra Combat Simulator can be found, with a Shinra staff member in front; this is the collaborator, and he will ask the party to use the simulator to demonstrate they are ready.

The Mayor is Best.

The combat simulator will allow the player to select the battle "Three-Person Team vs. Mayor Is Best", on any of the game's difficulty settings. Choose the party layout, and a battle against two Cutters will commence. These are durable enemies that attack in mostly melee combat. Lightning Materia Lightning Materia is useful against them, either to cast spells or to pair with the Elemental Materia Elemental Materia. Cripple the left and right blades with abilities before unleashing all attacks against them to beat this simulation. A mega-potion is awarded. After beating the simulation, leave and talk to the collaborator for a Shinra executive keycard to proceed, leading to "Reconnaissance".

The simulator can now be used to take in various gauntlets to earn rewards.
