ATB Ward is an ability for Aerith in Final Fantasy VII Remake, provided by the Reinforced Staff. It creates a large ward on the ground, where any other party member than Aerith who uses an ATB ability within it regains partial ATB from her gauge, allowing them to charge up abilities quickly. The ward costs 2 ATB charges, and lasts 240 seconds. After casting ATB Ward, Aerith is refunded a large amount of ATB.

ATB Ward is a support ability for Aerith that provides a unique buff to the party members standing inside it. It costs 2 ATB. Aerith places a large ward on the ground centered around her target for 240 seconds. Aerith will transfer her ATB to her allies when they use commands that cost ATB within the ward. Only one ATB Ward may be active at a time. Upon successful use, Aerith will be refunded 50% of her maximum ATB. Aerith has an interrupt defense of 40 while conjuring an ATB Ward.
Depending on the number of ATB charges used for the command, Aerith will transfer different amounts of ATB to her allies. If expending 1 ATB, she will give 25% of her maximum ATB. When using 2 ATB, she will give 50%. If Barret uses Refocus Materia and spends 3 ATB on an ability, Aerith will transfer 75% of her max ATB to him. If she does not have enough ATB to give her ally the full amount, she will give them all of her remaining ATB.
ATB Ward is a potentially powerful ability that allows Aerith's allies to more quickly charge up ATB. If Aerith's ATB gauge is at least partially charged, allies who use any ATB ability within the ward will have their ATB gauge partially refunded by reciprocally draining Aerith's ATB gauge. This can quickly drain her ATB, so it is important to keep her topped up to make most of the ward.
Much like Arcane Ward, the ability only helps characters in a certain area. The main drawbacks are its high cost, being less helpful against mobile enemies, and that Aerith herself does not benefit from the ability. She will, however, regain half of her maximum ATB after using it.
Due to the ATB regain reductions of AI teammates, it is always best to switch to Aerith before using it. Otherwise, she will only regain a fraction of what she would normally get when under player control, and will have almost no ATB left to share with her teammates or use another ability.
ATB Ward is more effective while Aerith is under the effect of Haste that expedites her ATB charge speed, so she can share more with the party. Another party member can also equip ATB Assist Materia to great effect while inside the ATB Ward; as Aerith will share her ATB gauge with that character, they will have more ATB to fuel their own abilities, which in turn can grant Aerith more ATB from ATB Assist. ATB Boost Materia can also help keep Aerith topped up on ATB, which she can make great use of to support her allies. Using ATB Boost after casting the Ward can refill her ATB back to full. When used as her third skill to activate Skill Master Materia, she will regain 95% of her ATB, or will be refunded the full cost if she is under the effects of haste, granting her many charges to share with her allies.
ATB Ward can be used in conjunction with Arcane Ward to not only cast two spells at once, but also to quickly charge her allies' ATB gauges. ATB Ward can also be used with Lustrous Shield to protect the area.
